FLY AWAY

I think our country have an overpaid department that stores 'excuses'.  In times of crisis, they will retrieve the same excuses to be served to the people, and when it cools down, they keep it again to be used in future times.

Contohnya ---

Kalau harga minyak naik, you'll see the same line "our petrol price are still relatively low compared to other countries".  Tapi dia lupa gaji kita pun relatively low compared to other countries.

Kalau harga barang naik (which is driven by the petrol price hike), depa pi suruh kita berjimat cermat, and when that item so happen to be gula, they'll come out with a campaign "hidup sihat, kurangkan gula".  Ok, fine.  My mom supported this 'gula' campaign because she's in the healthcare sector.

Kalau dekat pilihanraya, you'll see news about a bunch of party members jumping ship to another party, and they'll do a press conference trashing their former party.

Kalau nak pulihkan ekonomi negara, they will say "cara untuk menyuburkan ekonomi negara adalah dengan menggalakkan industri pelancongan serta membuka ruang kepada pelabur asing" -- and there they are, building 100-storey tower of office spaces to only God knows who.   Tourism, tourism, tourism.  Toilet hancing gak~  Toilet berbayar lagi hancing~  Jalan raya traffic jem jugak~  Public transport haramjadah kena pakai bit kad~  

What I'm trying to say is that, they spent so much for something that we can't see the significance.  They allocated so much money for dumb-ass projects, and they scrape away the remaining from the more important sector -  education and healthcare for example.  Tapi masalahnya, orang kita ni, literally, bila selepuk dapat budget yang besar, they spend it for A3 sized magazine publication as a 'leaflet' for convocation - which again, doesn't make any sense.  How shortsighted can one person be for leaflets of that size?  Ok, aku pessimist terhadap pengalaman di tempat kerja aku ni.

The point is -- the economy is crippling. Maka atas sebab itu, pembaziran kelihatan seperti sesuatu yang tak make sense.  Dan pembaziran ini adalah salah satu punca why a year and a half ago, I have to turn down the offer to pursue my study at this place (see image below) and make do with what's available.

Ahh, jaki betul aku baca berita ni.   Takpe, kita cuba lagi masa akan datang (bila facilities baru dah siap)  *hopeful mode*
